The Dawning of the Day

My second link to a Ryan Duns SJ video. I learnt the tune The Dawning of the Day from his excellent online tutorials. Definitely worth giving a go if, like me, you're new* to the whistle. Unfortunately I'm presently finding that I've only will power enough to try and learn tunes I really like and I wasn't much taken with the next one in his series. Still, I'll probably look back into them when I'm feeling a little more confident in playing. Fast forward to 4:30 to hear the tune at at faster tempo:



It's an old Irish air composed in the 17th Century by the blind harpist Thomas Connellan.

*I'm still new to the whistle, but it's my second go at trying.
